After School Programs

There are a number of After School Programs that are offered on the El Carmelo Campus. After School Programs are run by the vendors, NOT by El Carmelo. As such, we encourage all families to be familiar with your child's program and instructor. Guidelines to keep in mind as you explore and register your child in an After School Program at El Carmelo:

• Responsibility: After School Program providers bear full responsibility for children's supervision and safety.
• Sign-in, Sign-out: To ensure supervision of all participating students, sign-in and sign-out procedures should be designed and carried out by the After School Program.
• Emergency Preparedness: The After School Program is responsible for emergency preparedness, including collecting emergency information for each participant, an emergency plan and supplies. Parents are also encouraged to request a class roster and the instructor's contact information.
• Observation: We encourage families to observe their child's program.
• Inclusiveness and Community: In the spirit of El Carmelo's desire to build community and be as inclusive as possible, many After School Programs offer scholarships. Please see El Carmelo's Principal.
