eNews FAQ
El Carmelo Enews currently has three sections: a
volunteers wanted section, a calendar section with
school and district news, and a community links
section. It is published on an “as needed” basis,
usually about once a week.
To get something into enews,(OR to subscribe) either email
elcarmeloPTA_enews@paloaltopta.org or reply to a past
enews with a short information blurb (ideally 3-5 lines) and contact information for those
who want more information or want to volunteer. Ideally, items should be submitted a week in
advance. All submissions are reviewed by our El Carmelo
principal before they are sent out.
- Must be related to the immediate community
- Must be child or family related content
- Copy ready (editor does not need to seek out further info)
- Items will be short, with a link to further information about the event.
- Events should have a timeline or date, and be timely for the issue
- Non-profits only, with fundraiser exceptions (announcements of fundraising events by commercial organizations are accepted if they benefit the school)
- To keep the job manageable, the editors discretion in choosing articles must be respected.
